This News and Views article contains the collection of accepted abstracts and conference contributions for the upcoming International Conference on Information Physics (ICIP 2026), organized by the Information Physics Institute on 21-23 Aug. 2026. The proceedings bring together a diverse range of perspectives exploring the foundational role of information in physics, cosmology, quantum theory, thermodynamics, computation, consciousness studies, AI and data science, complex systems and applications. Contributions from academic researchers, independent scholars, industry leaders and interdisciplinary practitioners examine emerging theoretical frameworks, experimental proposals, and conceptual models addressing the relationships between information, data and data storage, matter, energy, space, and reality. The collection reflects the growing international interest in information-centered approaches and provides a platform for scientific dialogue across conventional disciplinary boundaries.
